How to Slay Your Summer Goals with Tatum Temia
It’s officially #Summer17 and the brunch, day parties, cook-outs, and vacays are in full force. What isn’t in full force this time of year, however, are those goals we set back in January. Don’t give into the warm weather and outdoor fun. If you do, it will knock you off of your game and have your scrambling in the fall to get things done before year end. Here are 3 ways to slay your summer goals and still have some fun:
1. Remember Your ‘Why’ – Goals can get mundane if you don’t remember why you’re working so hard. A way to stay motivated in the summer is to keep to the front of your mind why you’re working so hard. Are you looking to build financial freedom? Are you building a legacy for your children? Do you want to live a life a luxury? Whatever the reason, remember it, because it won’t always be an easy road. Trust me, who REALLY wants to be productive when it’s 85 degrees outside and you’ve been waiting to reveal the summer body you’ve been working on!? #StayStrongSis
2. Budget Your Time – Treat your goals as if they’re that new car you are saving up for. When you are saving for a major purchase, you revisit your budget, adjust your spending, and allocate money to that savings. The same goes for your goals. Revisit your ‘budget’ aka, where you are spending your time and reallocate to spend more time crushing those goals.
3. Set a Reward – Celebrate yourself! Attach a reward to those goals to give yourself a little extra motivation to get sh*t done. It can be a pedicure, new pair of shoes, a nice dinner, etc. Make it whatever you want it to be. The point is, attach something of value to your goals so you can rightfully indulge, once you cross it off your to-do list.
The summertime is so much better when you can have some fun in the sun AND get things done!
